Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday, thanksgiving day, Justin and I followed my Visiting Teacher (Angie Tingey) and her husband's (Ryan Tingey) car up to her grandmother's house in Provo for thanksgiving lunch/dinner, whatever you called it (we ate at 3pm). Wow, Angie has 11 siblings and the family is huge especially they brought their spouses and friends too. Her grandmother was so nice to us, she already prepared all the seating arrangements for us, yes, including me and Justin. The decorations on the table seemed like Christmas Day celebration already, red and green and the food..oh my gosh..the food was DELICIOUS! I loved the turkey, the mashed sweet potaoes with brown sugar and walnuts on top (I think it's the best, I couldn't stop eating that), the mashed potatoes, the green beans w/ peanuts on top and another kind of beans casserole, the coconut biscuit, the ham wrapped stuffing, the beautiful salad, the rolls, the interesting and unique jello and the 4 different kinds of pies they had (pumpkin, apple, rasberry cheesecake, and blueberries). I'm telling ya, I ate so much that that was the only meal I had yesterday! Even till now, my tummy is still bloated. I know I've gained lots of holiday weights not only of this meal, but also adding the big oreo cheesecake malt I had the night before and the big chunky ice-cream waffle cone I had 2 nights before. Wah lao...I looked so buff up right now and I don't know how to lose weight..haha! I better start heading for the gym next Monday onwards. I'm so serious...I'm chubby now...yikes!!! Furthermore, I'm going to eat at the Little World (best chinese restaurant in Utah) tomorrow after picking up Keshia at the airport. Hai...I'm so sinned...terribly sinned... Not going to slim down for the rest of this year because we are going to San Francisco for another food hunt (good Asian food) besides visiting my brother and his wife. Why do I love eating so much huh? I just cannot control...hehe..

This morning I woke up at 6:20am to get ready for a post thanksgiving sale! Justin already woke up at 3:30am to Best Buy to get one Nikon camera ($160 only), one 8" portable DVD player ($68) and one set of 100 blank DVDS (only $5). He told me that the line was already very long when he arrived at 4am. Could you imagine that? The shop only opened at 5am leh. The 1st person started lining up the night before at 10pm just to be the first 10 people to get the Sony Vio laptops for $399. Wow, dang cheap man! Eric and Sharn went to Circuit City and lined at the cashier from 5:30am till 9:30am to get their things paid! Siao ah! Anyway, Justin came back to pick me up at 7am to Walmart to get my $4+ toaster and I bought myself a monopoly boardgame too so you can come to my house to play if u want, haha! We also went to Old Navy for me to get sleeping pants for Justin and my brother for Christmas presents. They were just $10! I never knew Americans could be as kiasu as Singaporeans man.. It reminded me of the hello kitty fever at the macdonalds many years ago...haha..I was one of those crazy people..haha!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holidays!

End of Late Nights

Yeah....my show finally ended on last Saturday! It had been a great and wonderful experience for me. I really learned a lot working as a stage manager who facilitates the director, takes care of all the miscelleaneous and coordinates with other design departments. The show went really well and we participated in the ACTF competition and we might get into the regionals. If we do, we will get to perform in Cedar City next February. If we get into more rounds, we will go national in Washington DC. Well, it would be fun for me if I choose to go. Now, I finally have my evenings free and able to go home and accompany my husband. So people, if you wanna ask me out, I'm FREE now! Yahoooo.....I always tell people that I'll invite them to my house on Sunday for dinner after my show ends..well I'll do it one day and also...I'll bring whoever wants to go makan at the chinese restaurant on Sat for lunch (hmmm...soybean milk with fried fritters..yummy!)
