Winter 2007 semester- my last semester in BYU!!!

I've been so stressful and worried about many things (too lazy to explain what things) for the past few days! Yeah, first week of school wasn't fun because there were many things that I needed to settle first esp. it's my last semester. Graduating is exciting, but it's scary too because there are many things that justin and i needed to figure and plan for our future. It is a great transition of a typical student life to a career life with more worries. Thus, this semester is crucial even though we are not taking many credits.

I finally settled my credits and classes for this semester and here it goes:

1. DANCE 131 (0.5) - Beginning Jazz Dance (lyrical, hiphop, fast, and character) - don't really know what they are, but gotta have some fun!

2. EXSC 125 (0.5) - Flexibility - So many people wanted to add this class. We start class at 12:05pm and stretch for like 25 mins and take a power nap for like 10 mins and the class ends at 12:40pm. That's it!!! No wonder so many people want to take this class. But i didn't enjoy the power nap though because we just lie flat on the wooden floor with our body face up and the lights were on (too bright). I couldn't sleep at all, but I felt nauseaus the whole time!

3. TMA 360 (1.0) - Theatre Production 3 - okay, free labor (all theatre students know about that) and this is part 3 already. I'm the spot light operator for the upcoming musical OKLAHOMA! so imagine i'm going to watch this show for the next three weeks. I received 2 complimentary tickets and bougt 1 $2 ticket for the matinee performance on 2/3 Sat. Two are saved for Justin and Keshia, so who wants the last ticket?

4. TMA 396 (3.0) - Dramatic Literature 2 - So this is the 2nd part of my literature class I took last semester, but this class is more concentrate on social theory while the last class was more on literary theory. Lot's of dificult theories, readings and homework and for this semester, my prof made the reading logs harder to work on, but she told me she's going to help me. Although they are hard to understand sometimes, I really enjoy this class because it's very critical. Every class time is always dedicated to discussions and debating and how theories could be applied to theatre performances. Very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot!

5. TMA 515R (5.0) - Special Projects 3 - Wooo..sounds like a huge and chim project huh? What is special means here? Wanna guess? It's a 500 level class, which seems like a graduate student's class right? I was just given this 5 credits from my stage management supervisor because I don't want to attend those regular stage management classes. This special project allows me to work on my own and all I need to do is to write daily journals. It's a very flexible, independent, and self-discipling project! Wow, still kinda guessing what I really do? Okay, I just got handled the job of stage manager (again) for the spring family musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! It's going to start on May 30th to June 16th so that means I'll still be here in Provo until then even after I graduate. It's going to be a cute and fun musical and I'm excited about it! I'm grateful that I'm given this great opportunity to work on this Broadway musical to gain more exposure, experience and training. It's definitely going to be a "fulfilling" training because i've been warned that the director is kinda "different" from the other nice and relax directors here at BYU. So people, better support me this time esp. you never supported me in The Little Foxes! You know who I am talking about (Rae and Ash)!!!! :p

Therefore, I'll probably move to other place (still uncertain but somewhere in California maybe) after the show ends. Justin might move a little earlier than me to settle the new place first so when I move over, it's much easier for me.

I'll let you know if we have more upcoming plans!!! We really hope that Heavenly Father will bless us with a miracle!!!

Love,
Joycey
